Brewing Philosophy
What started as a two-barrel system
(and then seven-barrel) is now a fully automated 30-barrel one. And though we've refined and honed our craft over the years, our brewing process and ideology has been consistent since our humble beginnings.
To us, quality means creating a balanced beer, whether it's a delicate Belgian-style ale or a burly New England double IPA.
We use the right raw ingredients from the right sources and respect these ingredients enough to let their natural essence shine through.
Brewing Beer Sustainably
Every day we make choices that support our commitment to sustainability. Whether seemingly insignificant or seriously course-changing, we won’t budge when it comes to doing the right thing.
Our hop supplier
doesn't use chemical pesticides, doesn't pollute groundwater, grows higher quality hops, and pays higher wages to their harvesting crew.
We partner with
distributors to help us distribute our beers throughout New England—a choice made partly because it reduced our carbon footprint.
The most obvious
(or at least visible) sign of our committment is our wind turbine and solar panels, both of which are a clean and renewable source of energy.
